This is my eighth original painting of Marilyn. I used my unique style to paint this Marilyn Monroe. It is really fun finding different source photos of Marilyns. She looks so different in each piece. I read that she was walking with a friend on 5th Avenue in New York and the friend said " You aren't being bombarded by fans. And Marilyn said, I change my look when I'm in public and no one recognizes me." Do you recognize her in this painting?.
Our Story I am most inspired by bold colors and shapes. Exploring the similarity of shapes and forms to human form, gives me the opportunity to show the world a view that usually goes unnoticed. Combining the newest digital mediums and my expertise with traditional mediums helps me to create images with a WOW. Having had years of classical training and experience in traditional figure drawing and painting, I wondered how I could approach my artwork in a more contemporary manner. Moving away from the familiar subject of the figure, I choose to zoom into floral objects, celebrities and abstract botanicals and do portraits of what most people do nott see. .
